Re: Non Napoleonic Armies.
Hello Duc d'Brisbane. I am Marshall Elaurant, Dauphin of Adelaide, and another friend here, Paul Edgar, Marquis de McLarenVale, have been playing a bit of BE here in Adelaide with 15mm figures. I have also been painting figures so that we could use it for 25mm as well. Hopefully when this virus calm...

Re: French pronunciation of Napoleonic General's names
Thanks for the link. I had a couple of other particular favorites, which I will guess and be grateful if anyone can confirm:
Dessaix = Dess-aye
Massena = Mass-een-a
Marmont = Marr-mon

French pronunciation of Napoleonic General's names
Bonjour from Adelaide. Please pardon my lack of French language. I have French revolutionary and imperial armies and enjoy playing them. I had a question - is there anywhere that I can hear correct French pronunciation of the names of Napoleon's marshalls and generals? I would like to know I am sayi...

Basing for Commanders?
I was wondering about conventions for basing officers. In a critical situation it can matter, since there are bonuses in tests for officers being within a certain number of UD in a unit. The rules are clear on the number of figures on a commander base - 1 for a Divisional commander, 2 for a Corps co...

A further few questions on this:
Napoleonic (French) canons:
Vallejo 881 Yellow Green for the painted timber work?
Vallejo 801 Brass for the barrel?

Vallejo colours for French Napoleonic figures?
Hello. I have a lot of old Revolutionary and Empire French figures from when I played Napoleon's Battles back in the 1990s. I need to fill in a few gaps to get my armies ready for BE. I have a lot of Vallejo paints I have used on WWII and modern figures in recent years. Question does anyone have a g...

Re: 28mm basing questions
Merci, Herve. The general issue is: having 24 figures instead of 12 makes the unit width/UD to huge for a 120x180cm table. Is there a general guide for people that use the look and feel of most 28mm rule sets? Basing is 4 infantry on 40x40mm and 2 cavalry on 50x50mm and one cannon on 60x80mm. Sorry...

French in Italy 1796
I am just learning these rules. This is a 200 point army I am trialing, based on my favourite, Napoleon in Italy, 1796. Those who have played a few games - do you think this is viable as an army to play against all comers? French in Italy (1796) CO - Napoleon, Strategist Div I - Massena, Competent V...
