French 1809 - 1812

http://www.bataille-empire.fr/forum/php ... iew&id=222
Some of my French based around 1809 to 1812, converged grenadier and some dragoons. I also have Russians, Prussians and Spanish all for BE.

Cheers
Rob

Re: Prussian Fusiliers

Thanks Herve' for the clarification I sort of thought that this is what was intended. My fellow gamers in Nelson, New Zealand are enjoying these rules very much. There are about 9 of us, all of whom are AdLG players and all were thinking it would be an easier transition from those rules to these - o...

Re: Prussian Fusiliers

The other option would be like the French and Poles for instance that can break a line infantry unit into skirmishers, so why not have this ability for the later Prussian lists to cover Fusiliers. Given that Prussian brigades technically were as big as a French division.

Re: Why you should play BE ...

Cheers Roundie Yes makes perfect sense, so would make moving around just that little bit better. True fleeing units if close to an edge disappeared rapidly, so ddeper table will at least give you a chance to save them maybe. I'll adjust my table size to suit and have a game with Michael to see if th...

Re: Why you should play BE ...

As usual Keith a well written summary of BE. As Keith knows Roundie came round to mine for a 200pt French 1809 vs Austrian 1809. Basically as I was defending (French) I held on "hold" orders for to long and suffered. In the end it was relatively close, but my army broke in the 6th turn. As things ge...

Re: Prussian Fusiliers

Hi Don Exactly what I was asking in a previous post. By having no Fusiliers represented in post 1808 armies, then there is no point in having them represented at all on the table. There were much less Jager and even Frei-Jager only made a up a small proportion of light troops available to the Prussi...

Re: New Zealand

Hi Bryan Rob also from Nelson, I'm the one that has sparked the interest with the guys when we heard that BE was coming out. This was mainly due to the fact that we are all AdLG players !, so thought if these were of a similar vane then worth a crack. Great rules so far and so much to think about an...
