Deep and Linear Order
In many armies the infantry units have both deep and linear order. This question was asked today: can units of these armies change from column to line before advancing and claim to have made a full distance move? I feel that this should not be permitted. It seems the intention of the rule is that th...

Re: Movingly Towards an Objective
On reflection, I am unsure about this. Perhaps it is more simple just to have objectives rather than each side having their own.

Fleeing Distance
As far as we can see, the distance moved when fleeing is unaffected by terrain or obstacles. Is this correct?

Prolong Move for Artillery
We have experimented with many games now without using the prolong move for artillery. We believed it was not that common historically and was being used too much in the game. Without it, the games are a little simpler and we have not missed it. We offer dropping it as a thought for version two.

Moving Reserves
Only a minor point, if reserves enter the table one behind another, would you measure both from the table edge or deduct distance from the one behind to allow for the space occupied by the leading unit?

Advancing full move
When orders (attack or engage) require a unit to advance "its full movement rate" towards the enemy it cannot change formation to slow down.
The question we have is whether A class infantry may change to column to speed up?
