Many thanks. Still seems odd to me.

Division structure
Possibly dumb question that came up today. To be legal, a division must contain a minimum of 2 units. If I purchase a 2-unit division, but then use my brilliant C-in-C's command pips to detach 1 of these units and assign it to another division, is the "rump" 1-unit division legal? It had 2 units as ...

Re: Are Cossacks disordered after winning shock combat
If they are considered as essentially permanently disordered then they should give their disordered melee opponents the +2 factor for fighting a disordered opponent. That would take care of most fo my objections.

Re: Are Cossacks disordered after winning shock combat
For me it is not a question of whether or not an army deserves some "super troops". For me it is just that the rule makes no sense. As I have said, not a deal breaker. I love BE and do not intend to give it up. Every rules set has these nonsense rules. Anybody else remember the extra-heavy knight co...

Reserve Order Redux
Further questions about the reserve order. Under Entry of reserve divisions on page 68 in the English RAW we read, the C-in-C must spend a CP in the strategic command phase the player automatically places an order marker at the division entry point the order is automatically applied units entering m...

Re: Are Cossacks disordered after winning shock combat
Thank Zeitoun for your corrections. Just a couple of points. I never said the L3 was under attack orders, so lose that +1. I also see no reason to assume the L3 does not have an action marker since it is disordered. It's division could easily have been activated before the cossack division. What you...

Re: Are Cossacks disordered after winning shock combat
Well if that is the rule I guess that is the rule. I'm not buying the logic of it though. A disordered cavalry and a cossack have the same base factor - 0. If the cossack can bring along some friends it is not at all certain it will lose the combat. or purposes of this discussion, let's forget the G...

Re: Are Cossacks disordered after winning shock combat
Wait, wait, wait. Are you really saying that a G6 Imperial Guard heavy cavalry that fights a melee is disordered afterwards win or loose, but an I1 Yuruk isn't? That just cannot be correct in any sane universe.

Re: Are Cossacks disordered after winning shock combat
That is a really good question. If they don't, they have a big advantage over regular cavalry which will be disordered, win or lose, after a combat. I'll be interested to hear what the consensus of the community might be.
