Another situation where a French Inf column charged a Austrian Hussar in the flank. The Austrians successfully rolled their reaction test and reoriented to face the charging infantry
Does the infantry continue its charge or does it stop 1 UD short?
We played that the infantry continued its charge
Infantry charging cav flank
Re: Infantry charging cav flank
Since page 42 infantry can't charge cavalry, unless Cav is in Disorder or flank/rear or in bad terrain.
So the infantry must stop before contact.
So the infantry must stop before contact.
Re: Infantry charging cav flank
I have no problem with this. Would it not move at all, move half distance or stop UD away from the cavalry?

Re: Infantry charging cav flank
I believe it would move half way and stop Walt. You cavalry would not even roll for it's reaction until the charging unit moved half way.
Re: Infantry charging cav flank
Yes,
1) move charging unit to halfway
2) test reaction of the chargee
3) continue charge or stop
