Battalion guns for light infantry

The Austrian Grenzers can sometimes get battalion guns, e.g. Danube Army, 1809. If the Grenzers are deployed as detached skirmishers what happens to the battalion guns?

Not positive on this one, but I think I saw something on this elsewhere on the forum; maybe even on the French forum. Anyway, I think they just disappear. Sort of like dismounting in ADLG where the horses are just gone - maybe eaten or something.

How do

On the FB group we came to a working conclusion that they probably re-appear when the unit reforms as skirmishing isn't listed as one of the reasons for losing the guns.

Of course nothing official but it seemed to make sense.

That might work as long as the detached skirmishers have never been forced (or opted) to flee, entered difficult terrain, or crossed an obstacle. These all do appear as reasons a unit loses it's battalion guns.
