Another possibly dumb question about buildings

OK. Lets say there is a 4-building village, with the buildings arranged in a simple rectangle. Friendly units occupy the 2 buildings nearest the friendly table edge. An enemy unit sits next to and touching one of the unoccupied buildings. A couple of questions:

1. Can a friendly unit move from it's current building to occupy the empty building touched by the enemy unit? As I read the rules, the moving unit cannot do battle with the unit outside the building, but only units in adjacent buildings.

2. Assuming the friendly unit can occupy the previously empty building, what happens to the adjacent enemy unit? Must it back away to create a 1 UD gap between it and the now enemy-occupied building?

Thanks for any thoughts or insights.

Hi viperofmilan,

yes it's possible to move into the unoccupied building. After that you must Push back the touching unit 1UD. Then Fire if you want. ( No melee)

I can't find anything in the rules that covers this. However, the proposed solution is the only sensible option.
Congratulations on finding this obscure point 😊.
