In a Shock combat its very clear victorious Impetuous cavalry must pursue fleeing or routed troops and cannot make a withdrawal move.

What are their options if they win the combat with a melee or retreat result? Can they withdraw here or do they have to advance 1UD?

they always must advance 1UD ( it's mandatory) then they can withdraw if they want.

They must purse only when the result of the fight is FLEE or ROUTED.
