Had a situation come up today which oddly hadn't come up before.
Can a unit from a non-activated division in position to provide fire support to a unit or units from an activated division do so?
If so, would it matter whether or not the unit from the non-activated division's division had been activated previously or had not yet been activated this turn as long as the unit did not have an action marker?
Fire support from friendly, non-activated division?

Re: Fire support from friendly, non-activated division?
I believe we have discussed this before. The consensus was 'yes'.

Re: Fire support from friendly, non-activated division?
Funnily enough I spotted a clarification on this last night and include it here,
Inter division support - Pages 47-48
It is possible to support a unit with units from another division:
▪ In defense, you can support morale or fire with any friendly unit in range.
▪ In attack, one can support fire only with units of one's own division. We can support morale
with any friendly unit within range. Artillery under the command of the general-in-chief can support
fire any division by activating with it.
