Hi All,
you must have a line of sight to fire but not to charge.
and i agree, all troups ( except ambush) are KNOWNED , but if you want to fire you must see them, if you want to charge no, however you must be in capacity to charge ( wheeling first, range , into 45° angle etc.... )
regards
Visibility and line of sight

Re: Visibility and line of sight
I was reading the clarification and understanding it to mean troops can only shoot or charge at units that are visible and have a line of sight. This appears to be wrong from your comments and I look forward to anything you and Herve can do to clarify the situation.

Re: Visibility and line of sight
Hi Adrian,
to fire at target you must see them ( line of sight) units must be knowned ( cannot fire to an ambush marker) and must be at range.
TO charge, units must be knowned (cannot charge an ambush marker) and at range. No mandatory line of sight .
A wood , block the line of sight if more than 1 UD from the edge. So it's impossible to shoot at this unit but it's possible to charge. (That mean : Troops start moving , then know there is someone in the wood , then when they saw them they charge... )
Regards
